CULTURAL ART EXCHANGE WITH NORTH YORKSHIRE AND LIGURIA

The passion that Richard has for the Northern landscape of England and recently Tuscany, took his career in another direction last year. He was invited to take part in a cultural art exchange programme with North Yorkshire and Liguria, a region north west of Tuscany. Along with two other landscape artists from Scarborough, Richard spent a week last Easter in the company of three Italian artists, sketching, painting and eating great food! Back in England, inspired by the experience, paintings were produced to form a touring exhibition in Liguria last summer, and is currently showing in Scarborough and moves to Castle Howard between 1 - 5 March 2006.

THE DERWENT GALLERY, GRINDLEFORD, DERBYSHIRE

To co-inside with being featured in Peak District Life magazine (available from 28th Feb), The Derwent Gallery in Grindleford will be having a solo exhibition of recent paintings from Saturday 4th March to Monday 1st May, where he has been selling his paintings for several years now. WENDY J LEVY CONTEMPORARY ART, DIDSBURY, MANCHESTER

Due to the near sell-out exhibition in April 2005, the next solo exhibition will be in October 2006. Last year, Richard exhibited his urban paintings of Manchester for the first time and sold most of them on the preview evening!, so this year several more will be available along with his dramatic moorland paintings and Tuscan pictures that will be produced this summer while in Italy.
